Request for Public Information

In accordance with the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act (IPRA), the City Clerk serves as the official Custodian of Records for the City of Truth or Consequences. Individuals seeking access to public records may submit a formal request to the City Clerk’s Office.

Requests can be made in person or mail at:

Alternatively, requests may be submitted via email to torcclerk@torcnm.org.

To initiate a request, please complete the Request for Public Records form. As outlined on the form, all requests must include the requestor’s name, address, and telephone number, and must clearly identify the records being sought with reasonable specificity.

Completed forms must be submitted to the City Clerk’s Office. When submitting your request, please indicate whether you wish to:

  • Inspect the records only, or
  • Receive copies of the records.

There is no charge for the inspection of public records. However, if copies are requested, a fee of $1.00 per page will apply.
