Multi-Animal Site & Kennel Permits

What do I need to have in order to get a Multi-Animal Site or Kennel Permit?

In order to receive a Multi-Animal Site or Kennel Permit, you will need to apply at the City Clerk's Office.

You will be required to provide:
1. Proof of ownership of animals
2. Proof of Rabies Vaccinations for each animal that will be listed on the permit 
3. Proof of a City Animal License for each animal.

After an application has been submitted, an inspection of the premises the animals will be housed on will be scheduled with you by Code Compliance Officers to ensure there is adequate shade, shelter, food, water and space for the animals that will be housed. Code Compliance Officers will also ensure the premises is clean and suitable to house animals.

Multi-Animal Site and Kennel Permits may be denied for reasons including, but not limited to:
1. Inadequate enclosures
2. Inadequate space
3. Violations of Sec. 3-5.
4. Violations of Sec. 3-95.
5. Violations of Chapter 6 of the City Code.

Pets within the City of Truth or Consequences must be licensed.  Licenses are issued by the City Clerk's office. More information on licensing your pet can be found here.
