The city's Water Division repairs and maintains all the city's water distribution lines and sewer collection systems. The city currently has five groundwater wells that pump water to Cook station where the water is chlorinated and distributed to the system. Morgan booster station and storage tank has a 3MG storage facility and pump water to the Upper Zone tanks. These tanks are a combined 4.2MG of storage capacity.
The City of T or C is currently in the process of upgrading its downtown waterlines. As of the spring of 2024 the downtown water line project is approximately 90% complete with all the major waterlines now in place. New fire hydrants have been installed and the project now moves into the final phase of connecting all the services lines that provide water to the downtown customers. The las phase of this project involves work and upgrades to our Cook booster station. Electrical components are due for delivery in July 2024 at which time they will be installed.
For questions, concerns or to report a water problem, please contact the Water Department at the above provided information.
